Make it a fair society.. Hard working singaporeans who make higher income not only pay higher income tax, but also property tax, etc. However, I see a number of foreigners, who marry singaporeans and they dont work...simply invest their money globally, based out of Singapore, as there is no capital gains tax here and live off Singaporeans, by paying zero tax. Why is the Govt. not taxing such foreigners, who are making way more money thru trading and other investments, whilst Singaporeans are not spared to pay taxes? I think, all foreigners who live here, have to pay taxes, to avail of the infarstructure that the Govt. builds using tax payer money. So, there has to be a minimum tax payable....else, do not renew their visas

the higher we earn, the more expenses we have... everything is so expensive! I am newly married and looking at the bills, I get scared! How do government expects young couples to have kids when everything is so expensive! I don't get why Conservancy Charges should be so expensive, all of us are paying.. And where is such BIG part of our money going to when foreign workers who sweep and wash our places are paid so low???

A tax rebate of 50% for the sandwich class sounds great but the cap of $1,000 is much lower than in previous Budgets - @BJOoi #SGBudget2015by KPMG Singapore via twitter 2/23/2015 9:52:03 AM

Tharman: A high-income earner with income of $800k will see his tax rate increase from 16% to 17.4%, additional tax payable of $11k.
*******************************************************************************
What is $11k to a high income earner earning $800k? It is merely an increase of 1%.... Oh Maths!! -
