Chalk, chalk and more chalk: Friday tournament wrap
Dayton fans had a lot to cheer about. (Greg Bartram/USA TODAY Sports)
For 15 of Friday's 16 games, the favorites took care of business, the opposite of Thursday's complete insanity. In the final game of the evening, playing in front of a pseudo-home crowd in Columbus, the No. 11 Dayton Flyers knocked out the No. 6 Providence Friars for the first upset since UCLA's victory over SMU yesterday. Read Jeff Eisenberg's full recap of the day's action at The Dagger and be sure to continue checking Yahoo Sports for the latest NCAA tournament news.

San Diego State needs to duplicate tonight's outside shooting but not tonight's transition defense to have a shot against Duke.by Jeff Eisenberg via twitter 3/21/2015 3:53:59 AM

UPDATE: Dayton 28 Providence 25, Halftime: After the rough start, the total number of field goals made eventually equaled the number of turnovers (18). The Friars rallied to tie late in the first half on a three from LaDontae Henton but Dayton's Jordan Sibert - the hero from Wednesday's First Four game - pushed the Flyers back ahead with a trey of his own.

Ian Eagle is calling the Dayton/Providence game and is not overly impressed with the effort thus far.“It’s a 7-0 run, or, some would say, a brisk walk.” — Ian Eagle, the reason for the seasonMar. 20, 2015

Wisconsin is the 23rd STRAIGHT tourney win for the Vegas favorite (straight-up, not ATS). UCLA last dog to advance. Streak odds: 1245 to 1by RJ Bell via twitter 3/21/2015 3:28:55 AM

UPDATE: Dayton 14, Providence 7, 8:13 remaining in the first half: It's been a rough start to the final game of Friday, as the teams have combined for more turnovers (12) than made field goals (6). Oh, and Friars point guard Kris Dunn was called for a very questionable flagrant foul within the first minute of action. This is also basically a home game for the Flyers, as it's being played in nearby Columbus in front of a lot of Flyer fans.

UPDATE: Wisconsin 66, Coastal Carolina 50 with 7:55 left: The Badgers are having an easy time with an overmatched CC squad, but they'll obviously need to kick things up a notch when Oregon comes calling on Sunday. It's hard to tell if the Badgers are just bored with facing the 16 seed, but the defensive intensity they need isn't there and CC is managing to get its share of open shots.
