Georgetown is on a 41-13 run since the 8:15 mark of the 1st half, which is pretty good. I'm no expert, but that'll win games in the tourney.by Paul Myerberg via twitter 3/20/2015 4:17:18 AM

They're all been eliminated already and the first day isn't even over yet. That's not so good.
Perhaps even worse? Texas coach Rick Barnes may be out in Austin. -

How good is Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell? Potentially good enough to carry the Buckeyes on a Napier-like run. From Jeff Eisenberg in Portland:(Godofredo Vasquez/USA TODAY Sports
Sometimes Russell used VCU's trademark aggressiveness against it by going backdoor and losing his man for layups. Other times he'd free himself for a catch-and-shoot three sprinting around screens or attack off the dribble with the ball in his hands. A few times he also was able to create scoring chances for others by drawing so much defensive attention.
...
"He's so good at making the right read," Matta said. "You know, the great thing when you try to get creative for D'Angelo, he picks it up just like that. I think that makes his knowledge of the game of basketball, he knows exactly what we're trying to get accomplished and can execute it."

Admittedly it helps that he's a head taller than any opposing player, but Jakob Poeltl has been outstanding today for Utah.by Jeff Eisenberg via twitter 3/20/2015 2:18:34 AM

* Iowa State's loss has already destroyed everyone's bracket.
* The reason UAB is wearing mismatched shoes.
* R.J. Hunter's clutch three propels Georgia State over Baylor
* Georgia State coach Ron Hunter falls into our heart with his celebration.
* UCLA knocks out SMU on a controversial goaltend.
* Kentucky fan already has a 2015 National Champs tattoo.
* The NCAA doesn't want you gambling ~wink~ -

FINAL Ohio State 75 VCU 72: VCU's Treveon Graham had a great look at an open 3-pointer to force a second OT — but he was just a touch off-balance on release and the ball did not get a generous bounce off the rim. The Rams missed several opportunities to win the game, but no stretch seemed bigger than about two minutes into the bonus period when Graham missed an open layup and Ohio State's Sam Thompson started a break in the other direction, with D'Angelo Russell finishing to knot the teams at 68 instead of trail by four. The Rams later committed two consecutive turnovers and their trademark defense was not enough to compensate for their errors on the offensive end. - Final

Meanwhile, don't do this to your own face because your bracket is busted. h/t @eorvieto http://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video_thumb/CAfwmEcUwAAw7xw.png

That's a bad swing for VCU there. Treveon Graham misses a lay-up to put Rams up four early in the extra session. tOSU converts on the other end with a beautiful executed transition play from Sam Thompson to D'Angelo Russell, who's really come alive since getting clocked in the face. 68-68.
-
UPDATE Ohio State 66 VCU 66, OVERTIME: With just more than 20 seconds left, VCU had the ball and a chance to beat the Buckeyes outright. Rams guard Treveon Graham was the man to take the final shot, drove through the lane and muscled up a contested lay-up attempt with about three ticks left in regulation but missed. CBS says this is VCU's third NCAA tournament overtime contest since 2007.
